The orchestra also accompanied the children’s parade that was organized out in the street . Ambassador Homme gave a May 17 speech and there was singing and plenty of games for the children.

The celebration was organized by the 17th of May Committee with the participation of Kristin Backe, Lisa Naadland, Siv Berntsen, Mona Løklingholm, Birgitte Hygen, Charlotte and Eivind S. Homme. The Committee received sponsor support from Jotun and StatoilHydro, as well as from Finnsbråthen and Maloco in Norway. .
