Minister Solheim participated at the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, Korea

In Busan, Korea, at the occasion of the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4, 29 November-1 December 2011), over 3000 delegates met to review progress on implementing the principles of the Paris Declaration.
The Norwegian Minister of Environment and International Development, Erik Solheim, participated in the panel when the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) presented its new strategy during the summit on development in Busan Korea. From left Armida Alisjahbana, Minister for National Development Planning in Indonesia, Minister Solheim, Brian Atwood, Chairman of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), and Helen Clark, leader of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
They delegates at the Summit also discussed how to maintain the relevance of the aid effectiveness agenda in the context of the evolving development landscape. The Forum culminated in the signing of the Busan Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation.
