Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was attended by the Norwegian and Singaporean Ambassadors to Indonesia and Thome Group directors and senior managers, customers and long standing business associates.
The purpose of the new representative office of the Singapore based company Thome is to be closer to the Indonesian owners and it will liaise with current and potential customers in the shipping and offshore oil and gas sectors. Later this year the groups intention is to open a fully fledged office of Timur Ship Management in Jakarta. This office’s role will be to manage vessels operated by Indonesian owners, and through the local presence build up strong ties with these.
Thome Group has been doing business in Indonesia for almost 50 years and the new office reflects the significant growth and opportunities they expect in this country.
