Roxar and UNPAD

18/01/2009 // December 2008 Roxar hosted a Technology Forum in Bandung announcing the agreement between Roxar and University of Padjajaran (UNPAD) with the donation of the reservoir modelling and simulation software RMS and Tempest.

The objective of the forum was to celebrate Roxar’s long term commitment to support the technology transfer, education and research to the Indonesian Oil and Gas Industry. Secondly,  to present the latest advances of Roxar’s software solutions. Present at the Forum in Bandung was the Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Eivind Homme, Mr. Morten Tønnesen, Vice President Asia Pacific & Middle East, Roxar and High Level Representatives from BPMIGAS and UNPAD, see photo below.

Since 1997, Roxar in close partnership with PTGeoservices, has been established with a Sales and Support team in Jakarta, and are servicing and supporting several international, national and joint operating oil and gas companies in Indonesia.

With the agreement with the university in Bandung Roxar opened a new chapter in their commitment to the next generation geoscientists and engineers in Indonesia by announcing the agreement with UNPAD with the donation of their reservoir modelling and simulation software RMS and Tempest. The agreement between Roxar and UNPAD at a value of $7.5 Mill USD, does most importantly create a framework for Roxar to assist with lecturers to the students and skill transfer programs through internships allowing UNPAD graduates to work closely with Roxar in Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region.
