Institutional cooperation / Private sector development

Indonesia has had a positive economic development for a few years, but there is still a need for capacity building in order to increase the level of competence and skills, both within government institutions and in the private sector.

Norway is involved with the training and developing of skills within the oil industry with focus on Energy Policy, administration, Carbon Capture and Storage(CCS)  and Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM).

APINDO, the Indonesian Association of Enterprises, receives funding for human resource develoment, support to female entrepreneurs, and labour law.

Two projects are within the planning process:

1. Support to Baron Technopark (Gunungkidul Renewable Energy Based Hybrid Electrical Generation Plant Demonstration) focusing on renewable energy,
2. Cooperation between Indonesia and Norway within the Fishery Sector
