Rainforest Foundation

The Rainforest Foundation is cooperating with local partners to protect Indonesia’s forests and strengthen the rights of local forest peoples.

The focus of their work is to:

- address the underlying causes of destruction of the rainforests
- influence the policies and practices of the government, intergovernmental bodies and the private sector concerning rainforest management

It is the Rainforest Foundation's belief that local forest people are best capable of sustaining the forest, because they depend on it for their survival and have the most knowledge about exploiting its resources without inflicting lingering damage on the forest.
