Booking
Applicants must book an appointment on the Application Portal before coming to the Embassy in Jakarta to hand in their supporting documents.
It is not possible to book an appointment without completing the registration of a visa application. An appointment can be changed or cancelled by the applicant on the Application Portal.
Application fee
The application fee must be paid electronically (VISA or Master Card) on the secure Application Portal after filling in the application form online. The application will not be sent to the Embassy before the payment has been successfully processed (usuallly within a few seconds).
How to apply - First time users
The first time you use the Application Portal, you must create a user and then log in with your username and password.
When you have registered yourself as a user on the Portal, you can fill in the application form, pay the application fee online and book an appointment at the Embassy.
How to proceed after the application is registered
A number of documents are required in order to process a visa or residence/work application.
For all applications the cover letter has to be printed and signed by the applicant.
All applicants must bring the cover letter from their application online and complete supporting documents as listed in the
check list.
When you apply you must bring all the original supporting documents and a perfect copy of each. The copies must be A4, with no staples, no stickers and no torn pages.
After we have seen the originals, you will get the originals in return and the copies will be filed. The only original we need to keep is the guarantee form from the reference in Norway.
Since postage time will be abolished, UDI expects case processing time to decline.
No Internet access?
It is also possible for the sponsor in Norway or a travel agent to register an application online on behalf of the applicant (e.g. log on and pay the application fee).
Group registration
Applications can be registered individually or in groups on the Portal. A group may consist of 1 - 15 applicants. However, it is a requirement that all applicants have the same nationality and are travelling on the same dates with the same itinerary.
Registering many applications as a group saves time, however, only individual applications may be copied for subsequent applications in the future. Families or people who always travel together to Norway may therefore want to register all applications individually.
