JOB OFFER: Advisor for Development Cooperation – Climate Change and Forestry at the Norwegian Embassy in Jakarta

Indonesia and Norway has an enduring collaboration on good governance, democratization and human rights.

The Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Eivind S. Homme held opening remarks at a Policy Discussion organised by HRWG in cooperation with the Indonesian Constitutional Court, called ”The Prospects of Human Rights Promotion and Protection in ASEAN: Constitutions, Constitutionalism and ASEAN Human Rights Declaration” on the 16th of December.

On December 15th at the Norwegian Embassy Residence, ambassador Eivind S. Homme and his wife had gathered the Board and Members of the Indonesia-Norway Business Council and Embassy staff, as well as high ranking members of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and seniors editors of Indonesian media to honour Director General Retno and her husband.

The days of easy oil fields are over. Oil and gas exploration in Indonesia are now shifting to the eastern region of the archipelago, where most of the area are located off-shore, in a more challenging and harsh environment. This is a potential growth area for Statoil as a world-class deep water operator, to reach the unreachable.
